Second day in Yellowstone...Hayden Valley
Bray playing in the slush left from the snow the night before.
Buffalo fur on a tree.
Some ice still hanging on.
The geysers stunk. Kate is actually just mocking what Braylon had been doing the whole time. Although at the time of this pic, Bray was claiming he was going to throw up from the smell and insisting on going back to the RV.
A new geyser that had developed in the middle of a parking area.
Our first elk sighting. Braylon and I saw them from very far away and thought they may be elk. We couldn't tell for sure until we zoomed in and snapped the picture then looked at the picture.
Hayden Valley area was so beautiful!
This red hawk was way up on a hillside watching the bison.
Rolling in the mud.
Just outside the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone we got a lot closer to an elk.
This guy was a little further away and didn't stick around long.
Falls in the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone...so beautiful!
The Norris Geyser Basin
The water was boiling on the other side of this little pool of water, but this Killdeer didn't seem to mind.
Found our first large herd of bison on our way from the basin to the Paint Pots this evening.
I think they were mama's and babies.
On our way back to our campground, the herd had started to cross the road. Some were in no hurry to get to the other side.
This big gal just stood in the middle for quite some time. She didn't move on until she was ready.
