Earth Day

On the way home from school on Earth Day my little environmentalist said, "Mom, when we get home we need to put on some rubber gloves and get a trash bag and walk around our neighborhood and pick up trash to help the Earth." Although I was tired and had a million other things to do, how do you say no to that? So we put SpiderPig in her stroller, put WalMart bags on our hands (we had no rubber gloves), and walked around our neighborhood picking up trash....it was nice...I am glad he suggested it.
Of course, my son who is having more and more of his outgoing days and less and less shy days saw one of our neighbors outside and struck up a conversation. He proceeded to tell her that we had to go around and pick up all of the trash "in our community" because "our neighbors just throw their trash out everywhere and litter and that is not good for the Earth." Luckily, this particular neighbor found him humorous and laughed and said, "that is very nice of you."

Wordless Wednesday.

Well, maybe one....ewwwwww!

Little Old Men Are So Cute

I think Braylon has been spending a little too much time around someone pretty old, like his PaPaw David?, possibly?.... A few weeks ago when he was talking about wanting to go visit John and Stephanie's new baby, Braylon asked: "Well, when are we going to meet that youngster?" Then Thursday when we were home sick together he told me: "Lets go color for a spell." He has quite the vocabulary, but sometimes I just don't know how he comes up with some of this stuff!

A Story From This Guy:

Early Thursday morning I woke and could not get back to sleep, so I came out to the living room and eventually laid back down on the couch. Around 6AM I heard Braylon coming down the hallway and I sat up. Then we had the following conversation:
Me: Hey Buddy. How did you know I was out here?
Bray: I looked in your room and no Mama, so I thought you were dead, so I thought I would come out here and watch some TV, then I saw your head pop up.
Me: Oh
