Let's Go Mountaineers!

Well, we officially kicked off the 2008-2009 WVU football season today with a win over Villanova. Braylon enjoyed the game, but by half-time he was ready to go...he was hot, sleepy, and bored, but once they got started again he got back into it.

Don't you love this look he has started when you tell him to smile for the camera?
Braylon and Papaw
Braylon enjoyed the pepperoni rolls we brought with us.
Somehow Braylon was able to get my camera case to stick to his head/hair. He thought this was hilarious and was occupied by this for much of the 3rd quarter.
Boo Boo is not feeling well and didn't get to come with us to the game. She did come up and hang out at our house and we got to spend some time with her before and after the game. Here she is helping Bray brush his teeth before bed.

We're Baaaack!

Just wanted to let everyone know that we have been without internet since we moved on the 18th...Just got it started back today. I hope to post some pictures of the house soon.
No current pictures, so since we are about to head out to the first WVU football game of the season, here is a flashback picture of my little man at his first ever Mountaineer game.

Deer Huntin'

Even though I hate guns, Andrew is not a hunter, and as far as I know Braylon has never seen a real gun, he has become obsessed with them. Now, we do live in West Virginia, and both my Dad and my father-in-law hunt (actually most of our family members hunt), but I still do not understand where Braylon's need to play gun started...its like what Paula was saying on her blog about Lydia being naturally drawn to girlie things like make up and tea parties. My Dad thought it was just awful that Braylon was making pretend guns out of Legos and sticks and told me..."That boy needs a toy gun...I played with guns when I was growing up and I've never killed anybody." So when Braylon went to stay with Mom and Dad last week, he came home with a gun. He loves it! He told me the second day that he had it: "I love my cuddly gun!" Thanks Dad! Anyway, this weekend while at Drew's parent's, Braylon spotted some deer in the yard. He ran to our car, got out his rifle and chased the deer "shooting" all the while.

There's a tear in my...bubbles?

Braylon always has tons of energy and most of the time he lives up to his "Wild Man" nickname (one of a long list that also includes turkey lips and knucklehead), but for the most part he is not an emotional/dramatic kid. He rarely cries and he is actually a very good sharer. But this weekend at the reunion we experienced one of his infrequent reminders that he is a three-year old kid. Drew accidentally knocked over JoLee's bubbles, so he poured some of Braylon's into her bottle. Had he asked Braylon first, Bray probably would have been fine with it, but he didn't and this is what resulted. Am I a bad mother for finding these pictures hillarious?

MaMaw Helen's Reunion

Last weekend we had the Hess Reunion at Carnifex Ferry State Park. Here is a picture of MaMaw Helen or MaMaw Bug as Bray calls her (the short one in the red) with her brother and sisters.

Braylon and JoLee loved the bubbles.

I love this picture of Braylon's cousin Kelsi. She is so beautiful, even with chocolate on a sad face.

My nephew Noah...he's a cutie.

Mom made balloon animals for the kids...they loved it!

My brother, sister-in-law and my nephew.
Cousin Kayli and my nephew Caden were nice enough to help Braylon ride the teeter-totter.

We're Moving!!!

Well, we closed on our house on Thursday. The current owners have until mid-August to get out so we are hoping to be moved in before school starts. I am so excited!
